Online store

Mastercan

One online shop, two stores: fire safety and electronic components.

Mastercan, in Maia (Porto), sells fire safety equipment and electronic components to installers, businesses and individuals. It needed to sell both online without mixing them: someone looking for a fire alarm panel doesn't want to see resistors and capacitors, and the other way round.

We built one shop with two divisions — Security (fire, intrusion, alarms and CCTV) and Electronics (thousands of components by category) — each with its own colour, catalogue and cart. Visitors pick a store when they arrive and can switch at any time.

Underneath is an e-commerce platform (Medusa) with a Next.js storefront, served through Cloudflare: fast pages, product search, prices with or without VAT at the customer's choice (handy for professionals), installer discounts, campaigns and payment by Multibanco and MB WAY.

What we did

  • Online shop with two divisions: Security and Electronics
  • Next.js storefront connected to the Medusa commerce platform
  • Catalogue by category and brand, new arrivals, promotions and campaigns
  • Product search and a separate cart in each division
  • Prices with or without VAT, at the customer's choice
  • Installer discounts and a B2B reseller catalogue
  • Payment by Multibanco and MB WAY; free shipping over €600
  • Customer account, order tracking and a consent-based newsletter
  • Legal pages, GDPR and the complaints book
  • Hosting behind Cloudflare
